My FindHrr Account

1. How long will it take for my profile photo to be reviewed?
The Findhrr profile review team are continuously monitoring new accounts and changes in profile photos, you can generally expect your profile photo review to take from 1 hour to 24 hours after upload.

2. Why is my profile photo showing “Pending Review”?
Any photos that are either pending review or the photo did not comply with the standard Findhrr profile photo criteria are flagged as pending review. If it has been longer than 24 hours since you uploaded the photo and have not received any indication as to why your profile photo might not have been approved please contact us.

3. What does it mean when my profile is showing as “Pending Review”?
Any members whose profile photo is flagged as “Pending Review” will not be visible to other members other than if directly contacted through chat or if searched for directly by username in the findhrr member search form

4. How can i delete my account?
If you decide to delete your account we will be sorry to see you go! However this can easily be managed by you with the app. To delete your account please do the following:
> Login to the account you want to delete
> Tap the centre main menu button on the home screen
> Tap “Settings”
> Tap “Delete Account”

Member Profiles

1. How can i find Findhrr members near to me?
There are currently two methods of viewing members near to you as follows:
a) Findhrr Grid View
On the Findhrr section of the app if you tap the top left button which is a square formed of 9 small squares this displays the standard grid view. Members displayed on this screen are ordered in proximity to your location. If you have your device location set to on in the app and location services enabled on your device this will be used as your location and it will show members close to your device location. If your location is hidden or location services turned off on your device then the app will use your home location set on your profile or if you have set a custom location this will override the home location for this purpose.
b) Search for members by location
On the Findhrr section of the app tap the “Search” button top right that looks like a magnifying glass and the member search form will display. Complete the location field to find members in a certain town/city/country or enter a distance to view members located within a certain proximity to you/your device.

2. What happens if i tap the “heart button” on another member profile?
The “heart button” is the button you use to add a member to your list of “Favourite” members. Favoriting another member does not alert them, but their profile is added to your favourite members list

3. What happens if i tap the “flame button” on another member profile?
The “flame button” is the button you use to mark another member as “hot”. When you mark a member as hot this is shared with the other member, however to see who marked them as “hot” they must have a premium subscription. Anyone you have marked as “Hot” is available to view in the “favourites” section of the app, and the “hot button” on that users profile will stay orange until you tap the button again to remove the “hot” flag.

My Favourites

1. Where can I view the members I mark as a favourite?
To view any members you have marked as a favourite, simply tap the main menu button on the homescreen and tap the “Favourites” button, you are then displayed your favourite members by default.

2. How do i remove a member as a favourite?
To remove a member from your favourites, simply tap the main menu button on the homescreen and tap the “Favourites” button, you are then displayed your favourite members, to remove them tap the small “x” button to the top right of each members mini profile.

3. How do i view and manage members i have blocked?
To view and manage members you may have blocked simply tap the main menu button on the homescreen and tap the “Favourites” button, you are then displayed your favourite members, if you then tap the white circle with a line through it underneath the “Hotlist” tab” you will then be displayed the list of users you have blocked. To unblock them simply tap the small “x” button top right of the members mini profile.

4. How do i view the list of members i have marked as “Hot”?
To view members you have marked as hot simply tap the main menu button on the homescreen and tap the “Favourites” button, you are then displayed your favourite members. If you now tap the “Hotlist” tab you will see all the members you have marked as hot.

5. How do i view members who have marked my profile as “Hot” and also when there has been a mutual marking as “Hot”?
To view members who have marked you as hot or where there is a mutual feeling you need to have a premium membership. Once you are a subscriber viewing those members is simple. Tap the main menu button on the homescreen and tap the “Favourites” button, you are then displayed your favourite members. If you now tap the “Hotlist” tab and then “received” you will see all those members who have marked you as hot. If you tap the “mutual” button you will be displayed users who think you are hot and you have also indicated that you think they are hot.

Messaging

1. How do i send a message for the first time to another member?
To send a message to a specific user for the very first time, open their full profile and scroll the lower part of the profile screen up to reveal the action buttons. The first orange button is the chat button. Tap it and the message screen should open where you can enter your message and send to the member.

2. Where do i view my sent and received messages?
To view sent messages and conversations with other members tap the main menu button on the homescreen and then tap the “Chat” button. You will then see a list of all the messages and conversations you have had with and from other members. To view a specific conversation tap on the message snippet in the chat list screen.

3. My app just says “Connecting” and i cannot send messages. What can i do?
The app needs a constant connection to the web for the messaging system to work, and whilst your device might look like it is connected to the internet, in reality it only means you are connected to the wifi router, and the router itself may not have a stable internet connection. If this happens in the first instance we would suggest turning the wifi off on your device and using 3G/4G. If the problem persists please contact us providing us with the details of the issue.

4. I keep getting email and push notifications that i have received a message but when i go to chat there are no new messages to read. What can i do?
This was a known bug on some devices, which we believe is now fixed. Please ensure you have the latest version of the app on your device and if the issue is still happening please contact us and report it.

5. How do i delete conversation from my app?
Its not possible to delete a specific message sent or received but you can delete a full conversation with another member. To do this tap the “Chat” button on the main menu and swipe left across the conversation you want to remove and then tap “Delete”

Support

My question isn’t listed here. What do I do now?

There are 4 ways to contact us to get support:

1) Submit a support Ticket
Open the main menu screen from the homescreen and tap the “Support” button positioned bottom left. Please complete and submit the form displayed. A member of the support team will then review the issue and get in touch with you.

2) Send us an email to hello@findhrr.com

3) Complete the “Ask for help Form” on this page below and send it to us

4) Log into the app and send a message to the user “findhrrsupport”.
They are online regularly throughout the day and will get back to you as soon as they come online.

My Apps Settings

1. How do i access the apps settings screen?
Open the apps main menu and tap the “Settings” button at the bottom of the list

2. How can i change my username?
Its not currently possible to change your username manually. If you have a real need to change it please submit a support ticket.

3. How do i manage the types of notifications i receive?
Open the apps main menu and tap the “Settings” button at the bottom. If you then scroll down the screen you will see the “Notifications” section. By default they are all toggled “On” which is indicated by the buttons having an orange background. To turn off a specific type of notification for a each event tap the relevant button to toggle it off and the orange background will become clear.

4. Can i hide my age from other members?
Yes you can. To hide your age simply tap the “Settings” button from the apps main menu, scroll to the bottom of the screen and changing the “Hide My Age” switch to “ON”

5. Can i hide my exact location from other members?
You can hide your exact location by tapping the “Settings” button on the apps main menu, then scrolling to the bottom of the screen and changing the “Hide Location” switch to “ON”. Please note however that if a user chooses to view you on a map it will position your profile photo in the centre of the town you have entered as either your home location or custom location.

1. What are the benefits to subscribing to a premium membership?

All subscribers to premium membership get to benefit from the following membership enhancements:

3 Month Membership: £7.99 (thats just £2.66 per month and 11% off the regular monthly price)
6 Month Membership: £10.99 (thats just £1.83 per month and 38% off the regular monthly price)
1 Year Membership: £13.99 (thats just £1.16 per month and 61% off the regular monthly price)

3. Can i upgrade my account without an iTunes Account?
No, Apple manage all payments and refunds, as such you require a funded iTunes account in order to upgrade your Findhrr account
